Beating Ascension on Youtube

    My Alias on Youtube is SittingBull99. I've a LOT of videos on there, of various games. But I thought I'd share my beating of Ascension, the Youtube videos that I'm most proud, here on SP. Note that I'm using SCSII, some parts of Tactics, Ease of Use, Unfinished Business, the Flirt Pack, and the G3 Tweak Pack. Note that I am also using the Upgraded Items mod. I state on my honor that I have beaten Ascension multiple times before without using it, with pretty much the same method shown here, but nowadays I prefer the item configurations that Upgraded Items provides.

    My party consists of an Elven Fighter /Mage, Jaheira (no surprise there eh?), Keldorn, Sarevok, Anomen, and Imoen. I also experimented with custom portraits for everybody in the game, and I must say I am pleased with the results. So without further ado ...

    Part 5 (Parts 1 to 4 being the killing of Irenicus and the Demons around the Pools), where I begin the battle and kill Illasera first:


    Part 6, where I finish off the rest of the Five:


    Part 7, where I defeat Melissan:


    Part 8, where my Elven Hero decides to remain mortal:

    Interesting! I might LP BG2 and ToB after I'm done with BG1, and if I do I'll definitely include SCS2 and Ascension.

    Amazing! Epic final battle is epic, the best Infinity Engine has to offer, no doubt. :clap:

    Melissan acted rather foolishly on her first time stop, just wandering around casting useless spells, I thought she was going to tear apart some NPC.

    Love the custom portraits too! Where did you get them? :bigeyes:

    I admit, I got lucky there. Then again, no matter how good you are, you need a fair bit of luck on your side to pull off a win against Ascension Melissan.

    The usual antidote for Melissan's Time Stop is your PC's Focus ability.
