[IMG] Hunting season has just began, and all week I go around waiting for the weekend, because then I can go out hunting early in the morning. After a hard week at school, Saturday morning is used for sleep. "I'll go out on Sunday", I think. Then Sunday (today) comes, and I stay either on the sofa or in the bed the whole day with a throat so sore I can't speak.

Don't hunt poor animals, killing defenseless animals for fun isn't right. There is only one exception and that is if there are too many aniamls in a region and some will suffer if there isn't enough food or anything like that. Otherwise hunting is a brutal sport.

[IMG] Unless you are a vegetarian (small chance), you probably eat meat from pigs, cows, chickens etc. They grow up in terrible conditions on farms, doomed to get shot. The animals I hunt live their whole lives out in the wild. So now you can choose who you want to be, both types of animals get shot in the end anyway.

I am not a vegitatian, but you don't think about the live of an animal when you eat it. When you take a life you do probably think about it and I probably couldn't do it. The only things I kill on instant are spiders and other bugs and things like that.

So, Silverblade, I call you a racist. With what right do you value other species more than others?

Some species have a more developed nerve system and feels pain and other stuff more intencely, as opposite to some creatures who doesn't even realize these things.

And about killing, if you think of terminating a life, I guess there shouldn't be any difference wether it be large or small creature. Though it's more a question of what the dying creature feels (depending how you kill it ofcourse)

I am and have been since age 7 a vegitarian, but not because I feel strongly about animal rights, just because i do not really like the taste of meat, plus i really like being thin, and i have slow metabolism, and if i aet meat i will get fat very quickly. All that aside, i do not care if people hunt, personally i cannot bring myself to kill an animal, but do not care if others do.

The animals I hunt, are small. And since I use a shotgun, I either miss them or they die at once. They don't feel anything at all.

I'd rather hunt humans...tracking one particularly interesting specimen for days..knowing all it's routines...then black-jacking the poor shit one night and tying it to a chair. Hours of torture later, I'd dispatch the human by gutting it and letting it bleed to death over the next few days.
Of course, if said subject has children or loved ones, capturing of them too might be essential to having a more..fufiling experience...
The torture and subsequent murder of children/loved ones of the subject generally provides the most...stimulating response....

Shura: I don't even want to dignify that with a response.

As for hunting, I think Mollusken raises the best point in comparing his hunting to the eating habits of others. I love to eat meat, but I also hate to think of the living conditions of most domesticated food animals. And if it came down to having to kill an animal to eat, yes, I could and would do it. I couldn't kill an animal that I think of as a companion though (such as a dog, cat, someone's pet rabbit, etc). It would be like killing a famly member. Very disturbing. But a pheasant, turkey, jack-rabbit, deer, moose or bear? I'd prefer not to (makes me a bit of a hypocrite, I know), but I know how, and I would if I needed to.
