I'm wondering if my choice of Cadaverous Undead for my R/C's favored enemy is fair. IIRC, there were plenty of wights floating around, especially during HoW. Opinions?

IMHO you'll get the most mileage out of "salamander," because although "cadaverous undead" is a great pick, your character can just turn them.

Cadaverous Undead is a good choice.

The Burial Isle battles are harder than the battles later, so this choice even improves the game balance slightly.

    In TotL it's useless.

In the Vale of Shadows at the beginning they are not difficult but annoying since you won't have many magical weapons. You can reduce the annoying "party waits for the magical weapon carriers to finish the wights" time and increase the fun factor this way.

When you are soloing you should be able to turn all "Cadaverous Undead" by the time you meet them, but you won't be able to do so if you play a party of 6 characters with a multiclass R/C.

It doesn't affect gameplay considerably if one party member gets a slight thac0 bonus against a certain enemy type, even taking the worst choice won't increase gaming difficulty.

Salamanders are just too easy to bother much.

I dislike undead and probably won't be able to chunkify any in this run with a R/C.
