[IMG] I've found a site that allows me to download v1.02 of the game (is this the most recent/final version?)and it says the file is only 10MB (is this the full version?). My most important question though is: How can I run this game on Windows XP when it says that it's a DOS-based game?

Considering that it was originally released in the early 90s on 3.5" disks I would say that 10 MB is probably the full version.

I would say try running it and only if you have problems should you worry about DOS emulators. I still run a couple old DOS hoyle card games and they work fine in XP.

Hey guys, I downloaded Dosbox from Tal's link and Bertrayal at Krondor v1.2 from GameOgre. First thing I did was to unzip Dosbox. Next, I unzipped the Krondor file. This is what the readme said:

I've got a new PC with an 80GB capacity so I skipped step 1. I've also already created the Dynamix/Krondor Folder on my C:/ in Program Files. What do I do next? Exactly where am I supposed to type that unchunk command?

    Thanks guys.

Before even using DOSBox (I've run BaK in XP without it IIRC), go to Start->Run and type 'cmd' (no apostrophes.) This will open a command window, where you have to navigate to that directory and run the UNCHUNK commands.

err, it says that "unchunk" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Well... I don't know about any unchunk or stuff but I've simply played the game by dragging Krondor.exe over a shortcut to dosbox which should start the game in dosbox. ;)

OK I just downloaded Krondor again from here: http://www.alt-tab.net/games/betrayal-at-krondor/

That seems to be the 'manual install' instructions, and so it's probably not necessary. Just run 'install.exe', set it up in DOS and then use DOSBox if necessary. I only used VDMSound when I played the game though.
