I had a mod called The Grey Clan: Last Breath of the Past, which I have revised recently. The result is The Grey Clan: In Candlelight. It has a stock BG1 and a BGTUTU edition as well.

Many thanks to Felinoid for testing its BG1 version, by the way!

Here are some screenshots from its BGTutu edition: Lord Jusam, Moon Horrors, The Tattooed Man, Flaming Fist Deserters.

You can find many, many more screenshots as well as a lot of other information on the mod's website. You can also DOWNLOAD the mod from there.

Here is a short summary of its features:
    • Two editions are available: one for BG1 (TotSC is required), another for BG1Tutu
    • WeiDU-based installer: full compatibility with other normal mods
    • First episode of a trilogy: its story is an aspect of the Clan's world and background
    • Solid expansion: does not mess up your game with miscellaneous modifications and additions
    • Brand-new quests: one main quest, with several subquests
    • Hard battles: some battles are extremely challenging
    • New items: magical weapons and armour
    • Enemies: bandits, undead, golems, sorcerers, wizards... one of them with a brand-new soundset
    • Attacking mod-critical characters will interrupt the mod's plot
Finally, a review of the mod by SirChet:

    It looks fantastic! :)
I would like to know if we have to start a new game to play this mod?

No, it can be installed at any time.

Although I am sure that most people here are experienced players, feel free to visit the mod's support forum if any of the battles proves to be too challenging! ;)

Derkoth the Disgruntled, a player of the mod has made a walkthrough, in a story-like style. It's available on the mod's forum, a pinned topic (the upmost one, at the moment).

Looks interesting Baronius, I'm just starting a new BG1 game so I think I'll give this mod a go.

Is it compatible with the NPC project and BG1 UB? I just browsed the mod's forum a bit and saw that a few people have reported some problems with the previous version.

I haven't heard of any problems. Could you please give me a link to the thread(s) where those problems were reported? (I remember only one thread about BG1 NPC but the player who started it used a very outdated Grey Clan, a years-old download. Everyone confirmed so far that In Candlelight works fine with BG1NPC.)

Yeah, I guess that's the one I saw (I noticed that it was for an earlier version of the mod but thought I'd check anyway). Anyway, I've already installed everything and started bear hunting in the area west of Candlekeep ;) so I'll see how everything works out. I've got Tutufix, SCS, UB, NPC project & NPC music and the In Candlelight mods, I reckon there shouldn't be any problems.

I can confirm that there are no problems with that install -- there is a thread on install order at G3 for Tutu mods (check the General forums for "State of the Tutu Modding Union").

TGCep1 is placed in the order, but in reality may be fine in most positions, as it is pretty much stand-alone, self-sufficient content. It is tough combat, but if you have SCS you are well prepared for the tactics; purists who want by-the-rulebook opponents may not wish to parttake (but then again, some "purists" I know install it anyways, just to get their butts kicked back to the stone-age for once :) ) I personally consider it part of the standard Tutu install (along with the Degreenifyer, The BG1 NPC Project, SwordCoastStrategems, and the Tutu GUI).
