    The ****ing morons known as the RIAA have endeavoured to ban independent experts from trials of supposed pirates. This essentially means that the RIAA is trying to become the expert in its own court cases. Do we even need judges with that? Or maybe let's make RIAA the judge and jury and expert and public prosecutor.

    They should always be referred to in full with the third word in the name abbreviated thusly: The Recording Industry Ass. of America.

    I think that suits them much better than RIAA ;)

    Not as far as the RIAA is concerned, apparently.
    I just don't get understand why they wouldn't want third party experts. Is it so that they and only they are allowed to look at what's on you drive? Does this mean that, should they not find what they're looking for, they'll just PUT it on themselves and use this as "proof"?

    I guess that's the whole point: if they allow the other side to make a stand, their chances of victory will notably drop.

    Yes. Some people totally don't get the concept of justice while being so concerned with their rights. That's the whole crap with evidence exclusions. What the ****? Whatever evidence people have should be there. After all, it's a ****ing search for the truth, not a ****ing litigowrestling match. I understand criticising the expertise or debunking it to the their worst. But non-admission? Come on. People. It's like going to jail for identifying the covert cop or agent who abused you if you complain. Where is presumption of innocence and benefit of doubt? And why don't I hear about the RIAA being punished for using Kazaa Lite (an illegal version of Kazaa stripped off spyware and ads) in their pirate hunt?
