Campaign of Kilren (D&D rules applied)

DRSW(DragonRider SkyWard):All right here's my D&D campain. I dont want any more then !10! adventurers. I'm not going to run an all out war. Some one else can do that. Ok the rules are the same as the rules for D&D on paper(I might make a few exceptions to the rules if you the players can tell me why I should). Anyways this is all you need to do:
1. Make an adventurer of 1st level.
2. You have 500gp to spend on your adventurer.
3. Post all stats of your adventure for me and every one else to see so no cheating can be done and any one can see it at any time.
Well with all the rules set out before you heres the first part of my campain.

DM:The local traven is filled to night. Every seat is taken. Theirs even more people standing. It's the first day of THE WEEK OF BITTING. A rather large humanoid walks in to the bar. His features are covered by a very larg cloak. Taking the hood of the cloak off he reveils himself as a Draconian! Although the town of Mxnig is a mixing pot of all types creatures Draconians are very rare. The whole traven becomes silent. He speaks in a low, deep voice. "I am looking for any who will be willing to help me "escort" goods west through the Darking Hills. Will any of you join me?"

DM:Your adventures have grown up in this town their whole lives. Main buildings are: Tavern, Hotel, houses(20-30), small temple. Mxnig is loacted inbettween Darking Hills/west, Avators Castel City/south, Plains of the Fort Wars/east, Saint's Dragon Mountions/north.

 

ooc: With a few changes and clarifications I'll join. First, what version is this? 3E, I hope? Second, what method do you wish us to use in rolling our characters? Third, what setting is this, or if custom, what is it similar to?

Changes-- er, if you don't mind, use a spellchecker. Also, ten might be a bit much, unless your campaign is designed for that many, in which case you should take a couple days to drum up support and enroll the adventurers.

 

Yep I am useing the 3E rules. And I will start useing a spell cheaker cuz I know that I cant spell. Role your staits with a d20 and add +'s accoriding to the class and species. This is a custom setting, ummm it's similar to the eage of the the rocky mt. where it mets the plains of the west.

OK listen up! I didn't mean to say 10 but 6. I'm taking up to 6 players. Sorry about that. Any think else?

Shadow, a Dwarf sitting in the corner of the tavern, after downing a mug of beer and seeing the Draconian, walks over to make his half-drunken introduction. However, before he can utter a word, the Draconian speaks...

BY the way I really might have trouble with this RPG, it's the first time I've played, so please excuse my slowness.

 

DRSW:SOB(Shadow of Blackwater)Ok thats great. Youv'v got every thing you need but that (+30) you need to divide between your find traps, pick pockets, stelth, open locks. You'v got to split that (+30) between them Good character SOB, he will come in to good play alot in this campain. Looking foward to teaching you as we go on dont worry about being a newbe.

DM: The Draconian looks down at the Dwarf, cracks a small smile. Then threw his back in laughter. "Haha! You'r a little dunk to be doing anything." The whole tavern breaks out on a drunken laughter. "All right little dwarf man you can join me. I need a good strong little man to hual my things. Haha..." The Dwarf opens his mouth to talk...

 

He stutters, "Drunk?Drunk? You heathen...the night is only begun, and I have not even begun telling my stories! Well anyways, I want to join you and your band. I want some adventure, as I'm only a young dwarf of 152 years, and moved away from me mother's. Is there any pay? What will I do in specific likes? What I'm trying to get at is you need to tell more about this caravan or whatnot of yours. By the way...Will I get to use weapons and dig and Dwarven things of that kind. Mind you, I don't have a want of any sort to swim or fly, but I'm mighty good at carrying. WEll, speak up now, and answer me what I've asked and tell me much more, about the adventures and risks involved, and about yourself. By the By, will I get to kill them Grobi skum?"

 

The Draconian becomes suddlen quite as does the whole travern. His face becomes as stiff as stone and it looks as though he's about to breath fire. "What you WANT to know about me is indifferent to what I know about you." he says it with a powerful dragon voice that could have very well been form the gods them selves,"I know not much abot the rood ahead, your skills will most likly be needed sooner or later and I hope you come by some Grobi skum because I'm itchig for a fight with them since the day I first say them." he gave out a harty laugh"Your payment? Well how about this 100gp up front, what every treasures and trinkets you find to keep as your own, and then if we make it to the other end of the DarkHills you will recive an amount of gold proper to the job you did. Their do you think that is fare? If not to bad take it or leave it."

Remember these, I changed shadow's wisdom to 13 because dwarves are always wise, but he's young yet so not too wise. If this is a problem, lemme know, I just think young dwarves are pretty wise.ok, uh, if there are other technical things lemme know, cuz I am really enjoying this, but i want to do it rite.

"Well, I see. I have now completely decided. I shall join you on your journy on three conditions: That we find more adventururs, that we finish the week here, so as we can talk about the journey, and you treat me with more respect. I am just as good with words as you, but I am a realatively",he chuckles here, "decent dwarf. Now, I thank you for your money and in return I will try to find more adventururs. Now, My friend, what is your name?" Shadow moved himself and the draconian to the bar, hoping to goodness that he might have a good talk. "Come, let us have a drink and talk more, and maybe I can lighten up your spirits with more spirits! Ha ha! LEt us have good times until the morrow, only involving talk tonight of the journey or of the outside world, which I'm sure you've seen recently. Come, TAlk to me!"

 

"Hahaha...I like you dwarf! You'll be a fine addation to my party of...well how every many joins us by morning! But what is your name? Mine is Kingolakay." The Dwarfs jaw drops in hearing the Dragonic speach that cant not be repeated in any other tong execpt in Dragonic. "Call me Kin for short. I hope your buing the jin tonight cuz i'v got a lot to talk about." the night wheres on with talk "So their I was, just me and a hundred gobos! all the men around me have died and exploded!::BELCH::bet you didn't know that! yep we Draconians eather explode turn to a pile of dust or stone and some of us even turn in to a pile of goo hahaha! Though I cant remember which of us does what cuz none of us has died for over a hundred thousand years last I heard. Ha! You could almost call us a speices that wont go away, and we wont! Haha! ::takes a sip of his drink:: Haha! ::BELCH:: so anyways i sliced of all their heads in one quick slash or maybe it was more then that? Well hell what about you, you ever killed anyone?"

Ok,uh, my stats are good, that's good. anything else I should at least start thinking about to get ready? I'll need to go shopping soon, so if you could, I dunno if you can, give shadow errands in the town or something like that so he can get money. Or to make it hard, don't give me errands and I'll stay at 100 gps. By the way, when I type am I typing too much?

"Have I ever killed anything? Well, let me tell you, I have indeed! Oh sure, I pick locks and sneek around, but I'm not bad with a good sturdy gromril-made battle axe! I have been to many good hard battles with Grobi skum, and I would rather die than give up a fight! Oh yes, I can fight, but I can defend, or sneek, or steal, or anything you want! I used to live in Karak-Hirn, you know, over in the misty mountains, well, them caves never did see such an attack by Lizard heathens! No offense laddie, not your kind of lizards! Well, I was in the lower hall with the guards, and boom! Them lizards come knockin. Me and me caln, we killed every last one of them, even after the shaman killed much of us with his dirty death spells." Shadow, for some odd reason, wiped his eyes at this point."Well, yes, I killed afore, and I am not scared to do it again! Say, who just came in? Oh, just a man. Well, tell me, what kind of adventurers are we looking for? I should go and look for some in the morning, you think?"

Dude, what you type is as good as any I'v seen! Keep it coming!I love a good chalenge and thats what you are. Keep doing what your doing and if you have any questions ask me becacuse I want you to know what I'm talking about and I want you to know how to play by the time this is all over(hopefully not any time soon) You gave me a few good ideas that I will be incorperating in to further adventures and this one.

Your a bright young dwarf, though I'v got a few years more then you, cant remember at this moment how old i am in fact! Haha, so old I cant remember! Haha! But yes we should seek out more advetures. They would be a strong addition to our force's. Hmmm...how about we stay in town for a week. We'll look for adventures and the likes, see if you can find any one who needs to cross over the Darking Hills to the next town. We'll charge them a few gold peices and escort them. Make a little money as we go, ya, thats not a bad idea. Yes, tomrow you will go out in search of any one who is willing to pay to cross the Darking Hills with us. Yes, and wile your at it you can by your armor and the likes with your new found wealth. Also wile your out I'll go around and find a few people as well and some more cargo and a few things that we'll need for the road ahead. Who knows what we'll met! Maybe we'll be lucky enough to come across a dragon! Yes that would be good luck for us. All right. Heres what we will do. We'll each go our one ways for awile and in one week we'll met back here at this very spot, anyone sitting here just kick them out of their set they wont bother you with a small jab in the ribs. So in one week we'll met back here. Yes thats good. I'm off to retire for the night, it's late and I havent had a good sleep for days. I will see you in one week Shadow of Blackwater."

Cool, thanks. Um, you say I need to buy some stuff, but I have no idea as to how to do it! I think that could be a little bad. We really need more people. Really. Ask some people in your school how about? I'll try mine and see, but I don't know too many people interested in this kind of thing.I'll try though.

Then I'll tell you what you can get and do. Try the Hotel and Temple And dont forget that there's about 20 to 30 house's that you can try to steal from too Anything else just ask.

Great LonnieTheLazy, I welcome you to the group. I need a few things from you frist, one your stats,
str, dex, con, int, wis, char and the class and abilties of your character and any thing else that might aply to you. Give me some info that i could use too. Then I'll put you in asap. Just know that this board is updated about every day. Both me and Shadow of Blackwater post nightly. We'll be happy for you to join because I think SOB is getting board just being the only one

 

Hey Dm. What's up? Uh, I want Shadow to go into the hotel, so I'm gunna need your help. Discription, meeting people, well, you're the DM so I guess you know. Alrighty then, keep the fun going,and by the way you're doing an awesome job of DM! In this post I'm having Shadow break into a PRESUMABLY empty house and see what he can "borrow", so I'm gunna try to say it below, but if I do it wrong or intrude on DM's territory lemme know.

Shadow, waking up the next day with a rather small headache, got dressed, armoured {one can never know when he'll fight} and set out for the hotel. While walking, he thought to himself: "I'll go to the hotel, see what there is to buy, maybe buy, then go to the temple, as today is Khara-Urn`, and worship." Then, as Shadow looked into the window of a house, a small grin came across his face in the empty street. He was going to break in. He stood on woodpile about 10 feet away to look in; the house seemed empty. He however was too short to climb in,so hehad to try the door, orcellar door,while thestreet wasstill empty. "I'm not a bad dwarf,"he thought, "I just need somefoodandprovisions, andjewelry, yes jewlry,but this will be only one of few Ihit inthis pleasant littletown." He went for one of the entrances.

 

Dude, if you do anything that i dont aprove of you'll know But I'm very happy with what your doing with SOB. Now to the game.

While standing on the log pile one slips and SOB falls to the ground. Langing with a loud thud. "You know that's not the best house to rob." A rather attractive young female human dressed in a black robe helps SOB up. "Thats the wrong house to rob if thats what your thinking. I'm Ta-Na, a mage lives in that house. It's got so many spells on it I'm surpised that it hasn't blown up just from the birds sitting on it. Whats your name anyways?" SOB tells his name, "Shaddow of Blackwater hunnn? Well I like it. So why are you looking for some thing to "barrow". Your purse is allready heavy enough." She holds SOB's purse with all his gp's up. She gives it back to him. "Anyways I wouldn't try this town to hard, it's not worth it. Why dont you try the town over the Darking Hills. I'm on my way their in fact. I hear thiers a temple thier with a hidden passage. But you wouldn't be interisted in anything like that now would you?" Ta-Na puts her hands on her hips and does a small pout. "Would you?"

You can go two ways with this. One: Ask her to join you party and then keep going around town. or Two: What ever else you can think of!

 

Awesome! It's still the day AFTER sob and drsw met in the tavern, right, so we have time right?

"Fair lady," the dwarf pipes up, "it is sheer irony that you mention the darking hills. I myself, and a fair draconian if I ever saw one, are going to the Darking hills on purpose of transport! I ask that you join us, as it is my mission to recruit in this town, and I would love it if your beauty blessed our journey. PLease, if you will, join us! I ask another favor: wether or not you join our journey, will you take me to the hotel her in town? I don't actually know where it lies, and I am quite lost, as you can see by the house I chose to borrow from!" He chuckles. " PLease, come with me and in the meantime think of your answer! Oh, and by the way, I thank you for your warning of this house and town!"
