I've finally had it. I'm breaking down and asking you guys. In this thread, there are 3 things to look at. I click on the link, get to the home page and stare at my Media Player (or whatever it is that shows the commercial). Nothing is being d/l or buffered. When I click on the play button and/or black player screen, nothing happens. I can let this sit for half an hour and still get nothing.

Do I not have the right player to see these funny things? Will they work with Windows media player (ver 9.00.00) or Quicktime? Am I supposed to d/l something via mystery clicking? Any help is appreciated. TYVM.

I've had it with WMP too. I use WinAMP and when ever I need/want to view a .mpg, .wmv, or the like, I right click on the link to the video, select 'copy shortcut' and within WinAMP, go file > play URL, and past the copied shortcut inside the box.
Works like a charm. :thumb: :rolling:

Reinstalling WMP usually helps. Install the latest version off MS's site (10 or up) and it should work fine.

Hey Kitrax, anyway to make Winamp the default media player in a Firefox browser? I have the same problem and would rather it automatically happen when I click a link.

For the computer stupid - where do you get WinAMP?

I tried getting an update d/l, but it tells me there are no updates and I have the latest version of WMP.

Winamp is an entirely different player kuemper. It is not a Microsoft program. You can get it at http://www.winamp.com/

I have winamp now and still can't view the videos.

The one I linked to in my first post - how do I view it? As I said, nothing is being d/l and there's nowhere on the page to d/l. This isn't the first time it's happened.

I've never had a problem with WinMP. Maybe the problem is with the site or with your internet connection.
