It's fitting I'm writing this on St. Patrick's Day -- did anyone else see the concert on PBS? It was simply amazing. My wife and I bought the CD yesterday. There's a wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary Irish sound. All of the women have such haungtingly beautiful voices. There is also a DVD of the concert available. The song list is as follows:

    1. Last Rose of Summer/Walking in the Air
    2. May It Be
    3. Isle of Inisfree
    4. Danny Boy
    5. One World
    6. Ave Maria
    7. Send Me a Song
    8. Siúil a Rún (Walk My Love)
    9. Orinoco Flow
    10. Someday
    11. She Moved Thru' the Fair
    12. Nella Fantasia
    13. Butterfly
    14. Harry's Game
    15. Soft Goodbye
    16. You Raise Me Up
    17. Ashoken Farewell/The Contradiction [Live]
    18. Sí Do Mhaimeo Í (The Wealthy Widow)

Again, simply fantastic! If anyone else enjoys this type of music, be sure to check this one out!

Its a good way to get into 'an cheoil agus chumadóireacht an cheoil' but sounds too generic for a prolonged experience.

Everyone knows that the best Irish music these days comes from Russia, Czech Republic and Germany!
