I was wondering, is there any way to have your party leader standing in the back lines? I have a Aasimar Cleric/Sorceress as Party Leader, but with every formation, she is in the front lines. And being a double spellcaster, this is a bad idea. :) I know I can put her on for example the 6th spot, but then some other character will be the party leader. I want her to be the leader, because of her high CHA + Conversational skills.

I don't think this is possible ingame, but how about with modding?

That has always frustrated me with every Infinity Engine game - I almost always play a fighter class because of that. You would have thought they would have fixed this by now.

(Sorry I didnt answer the question - i don't have the game yet (not out for another 10 days or so in england) but this problem has always annoyed me)

The solution is rather simple though maybe you don't want to do it. You can just move your Aasimar to the front when you want to talk and move her to the back when you're in unfriendly territory. It's a simple mouse drag of the portrait.

I have found a way :) It's not ideal, but it works. Rightclick when you give an order to move, and rotate the formation so that the leader stands in the back.

BTA, the problem with that, is that friendly and unfriendly places tend to get mixed up. There are friendlies in unfriendly places, and vice versa.
