    Ladies and gentlemen, kindly behold my attempt at contributing to the current trend in poetry revolving around two basic truths: "life sucks" and "I'm unique". I, therefore, am supremely honoured to present you a truly unique poem which sucks perfectly:

    When the world's awake, I am asleep
    When I am asleep, the world's awake
    There's coffee on my fingers

    When the world's asleep, I am awake
    When I am awake, the world's asleep
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Society, laws, regulations, authority
    Vanity of vanity, and all vanity
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Politics, rumours, current affairs
    Sensation, intrigues, interviews
    There's coffee on my fingers

    She's not here, she's away
    Who's the she now?
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Motivation, urge, action
    Stillness, inertia, entropy
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Ties, links, causation
    Logic, deduction, inference
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Knowledge, wisdom, philosophy
    The meaning of life
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Feelings, emotions, drives
    Whim, passion, desire
    There's coffee on my fingers

    The past, the present, the future
    Impervious continuity of eternity
    There's coffee on my fingers

    Yeah, I couldn't resist ;)

    But it still has no rhythm, no rhymes, no fixed versification, no universal message other than "I'm unique" and "life sucks", so I hope I'll still earn my place in the annals of modern poetry :shake: :lol: :grin:
