Doesn't the game start to chug if you summon so many chickens?

Also, what dice roll does a chicken do damage for?

You should be able to summon more or less any number of them with the current engine without it slowing down too much. Use responsibly.

Also, it's a chicken. They do 1d2-1 damage. I wouldn't count on them being your secret weapon, except maybe if you're a level 1 mage. :shake:

1d2 -1? Well, I guess if you want to deplete a mage's spellbook you could throw a lot of chickens at him :)

I always wanted to play Diablo 2's Necromancer with a chicken army.

Wow what a fun mod almost like the wild mage spell that allows you to summon a horde of rabbits but now its chickens. :D Another perfect spell for the inspiring wild mage.

Does this mod work in BG2EE? Can you carry the spell forward?

Can you actually control the chickens? The rabbit horde is not really controllable they mostly stay around the wild mage. Wanna here a stupid way to get burnt into a crispy critter - summon the rabbit horde and like a good distraction the monsters start killing them - only the rabbits all have a % to explode into a fireball which I totally forgot and to make a long story short "Kaboooooom" it really made the screen one big fireball as a half dozen or so got killed and fireballed all at once. It was a sight to see. Next time I use the spell going to add fire protection.

this mod is more intended as a funny, albeit not very useful spell - not something you'd actually want to rely on in combat.
from what keneth has said in his earlier post, it seems like you won't be able to control the chickens.

Ah thats magic for you and summons have minds of their owns so they don't have to listen to my mage. :D My shaman already has a ton of spirits that don't listen to directions whats a few more. :p Plus after wards you can have bbq chicken. :D

It's just as well that they don't act as regular controllable summons - as far as i know the game has a cap of 6 controllable summons being summoned at a time.
I suppose the spell would be handy to have around if you ever found yourself lost in the wilderness without food, though i canimagine getting tired of chicken very quickly :p

This isn't a spell. It's very literal rabid chickens that you can buy in a store in Candlekeep and carry around with you (don't ask how). As such, the number is only limited by your carrying capacity and inventory space. You can throw a couple dozen chickens at your enemy at the same time if that's what you want.

The mod only came to be as a facetious notion when @Eyebreaker7 mentioned you only get 100 gp at the start of the game in this thread, as though that wasn't a pretty ludicrous amount for an ordinary person. Although these chicken are far more dangerous and thus have a higher market value, you can still buy a huge amount with the gold you get, just to prove my point. :shake:

I wonder what would happen if you had Thalantyr cast his antichickenator spell on one of your rabid chickens ? :p

You'd get a rabid chickenwere, obviously. Assuming it survived.

Definitely going.to have to try this, once I get my game all loaded on my new computer. Makes me wonder about replacing the rabbit with a chicken in the Monty Python Search for the Holy Grail scene.
