On one hand, this will give hime more time to spend with the family ;) On the other hand, one has to wonder if this is connected in any way to the latest scandal, this one involvind limo services and strippers

    From other sources

( The New York Daily News article )

What's also interesting is that Kyle Foggo was Goss' second pick for the position, after being revealed that his first choice had been forced out of CIA for unspecified misdeeds some 20 years ago. Apparently, it is kind of hard for Goss to find 'uncontroversial' people for his leading team.

    I also love Bush's statement:
If that's what means 'leading ably' these days... (for those too young to remember, five years plans were one of the mainstays of communist countries' economic development programme :D )

Chances are these allegations are true, and that's why his resignation was so abrupt. For those who don't remember, the person who held this post before Goss was George Tenet. When he resigned, he gave a two month notice of his resignation so that a replacement could be named. Goss leaving immediately with no prior notification means that there might even be more to the story that has yet to come to the surface.

That's true - and Tenet didn't exactly leave under a poofy-white-cloud of good will, either.

Meh, it looks like the press cannot be really bothered with this story. On the other hand, it is true that they have a lot of other scandals to cover.
