One thing i love about Civ 3:

the culture thing - it really does give a good idea of what you do actually control

One thing i don't like about Civ 3:

The AI just spreads its ass around so damn quickly, anywhere and everywhere and are somehow able to walk about in your borders for nothing and then to go ahead and settle! Gits!

Overall, Very tough & challenging game but also a very satisfying game :)

I really liked the nukes in Civ3. The nukes in SMAC just erased part of the map. Kind of nice, but I'd rather keep the landmass. Civ3's, they left HUGE amounts of polution for the AI to cleanup. Which kept him occupied, which left me free to buildup my forces, which let me crush him and raze the town. But of course, not too soon; I'd let him work on the polution for a while.

I played Civ3 like a Great Khan. Submit before I get there, and you're good to go. I've heard conflicting reports on the other choice, but they've all involved precious metals.

I am late for my milk bath, so kindly be brief. Why are you here?

Blessed are the peacemakers. Give us Chemistry, and we will once more resume our long and happy friendship!

Such an agreement would violate the spirit - if not the letter - of Babylonian law. According to international law, we have the right to continue this war until whenever we bloody feel like ending it. Forget it.

Bring it on, baby! Bring it on!

    ...

The Monroe Doctrine STRICTLY prohibits the stationing of foreign troops near Washington! I must request that you remove them immediately!

Uh, certainly. They were just looking for 'volunteers' to join in the upcoming winter sacrifices. We'll try elsewhere, shall we?
