I am playing IWD2 with cheats on. I created a max-level party: Paladin, Fighter, Monk, Cleric, Mage, Thief. Problem is, none of my Cleric spells are castable...greyed out entirely. Prime stats are more than adequate on Paladin and Cleric, obviously no armor restrictions, and I have rested a half-dozen times just in case. My Mage can cast spells no problem. Any thoughts? It is immensely frustrating. Thanks.

Ok, so, did some experimenting and found the problem. Apparently, even though they are proficient with it, my Paladin and Cleric cannot cast priest spells or use their divine special abilities while wearing metal armor??!! Shields and helmets are fine...just main armor hinders this. Must be a glitch as I have never run into this problem before. So, for this new issue, any thoughts? Thanks again!

That limitation is supposed to be for druids, although I found it odd it did not apply to rangers. Some mod must have screwed it up.

Technically, the "no casting" restriction is a property of certain usually unavailable armors, and applies to all spells, not just arcane. You might be wearing one of these that still have this issue; many mods re-introduce these without removing this property, making them much less desirable.

Also, you're aware that your Cleric needs high Wisdom for his spells, right?
