    Trying to buy the ring from the king, but have no money. I used the gold tooth to get Stan's insurance policy -- perhaps that was in error? That was the only item of value I had.

    I also have been invited to a card game, but without anything to trade of value, I can't play. :bang: Ideas, anyone?

    The poker game is it. Can't you just tell them you have lots of money? I can't remember if there was anything special you had to have to play (besides what you need to win of course ;) ).

    No, there's no dialogue choice there. Guy just says "I don't have any money". That's why I was wondering if I should have parted with the gold tooth for Stan's policy.

    I have noticed several posts about this game, from the posts i would say it is Adventure type, but i have never heard about it. Since I haven't played a good adventure since Grim Fandango, can you recommend it to me?

    I would heartily recommend Curse of Monkey Island to anyone. It's by far the funniest game I've ever played. The cut scenes are hilarious and the dialogue is so witty and humorous -- the best entertainment for the money spent, bar none. Hope you enjoy it! Here's the link ....
