I was lying in bed, and I wondered, what kind of colour schemes are people's favourites. For rooms etc. Do you like blues, greens... pinks? As houses aren't just one colour, you can go with your favourite room. Since for the moment I am back at my mum's place. Yet, I did choose the colour scheme a few years back. For me, the room is great as I did get to choose, and it has two colours. Dark amber, and papaya. Both warm colours which I adore. So how about you?

My favorite color is blue. I typically live with whatever is already on the walls. The only coordinating things I have are the dishes and they were a gift.

If lack of money were not an issue, I'd like the bedroom to be blue and dark blue.

I like earth colours and I don't mind metallic greys and blues. White is nice if clean, as well.

It all depends on the room. For a bathroom, I like light earth tones, like sandstone. For a kitchen, nothing beats victorian cherry cabinets accented by stainless steel stoves/ovens, sinks, microwaves, and a fridge. For my bedroom...I sleep during the day, so a dark blue would work perfectly. For the computer room, I like some sun to come in, but not glare off all the walls, so a flat white, or cream colored paint would do. But that's just my :2c: :rolling:

I don't really have huge favorites, but my current apartment has basically two themes, dine with curtains and such since there is no messing with the white walls. the living room is purple, and the bedroom is reddish-grrewn and other natural tones :D

Hmmm...I like darker colours, deep reds and blues are nice. I love wood too. I prefer silver over gold, and silver patterns on a deep blue would look nice. But unfortunately I don't get to decorate the house so I have no say, but that would be my ideal colours...my room at the mo has some "lovely" coca-cola wall paper which I got when I was like 5 or 6...can't wait to get my own house to decorate! :D alot of hassel but worth it.

Kuemp, you'd like my room's color. Semi-Dark Blue walls, dark blue carpet. At my dad's house, the walls are white (in fact, all of them are... he hasn't painted any yet), and the carpet is really dark blue.

Thats the way I like it. Black is my favorite color, but it wouldn't be good in a room.

 I have walls? :shake: Unless it's absolutely butt-ugly, I don't care much about color schemes. Off-white works for me.

Hah! Black all the way for me.

Unfortunatly that's kind of not very likely for a room, so a deep, dark blue does it.

I love lilac. I'm a lilac fanatic  Also creams and tasteful browns. Our living room is currently the colour of sick. Yucky beige. And the other rooms are all white with sick coloured carpets. Didn't see any point decorating since we're moving soon :)

My room is currently off-white and the uni room is a little more yellow, but not too much. I like it like that. Walls should have a neutral colour, IMHO.

Off -white walls. Neurtral colored walls mean I can use any accent colors I that fit my mood of the moment.

Dark colors, that is black accented with dark blues and greens, or with a little bit of dark red. Though I use curtains/bedsheets to this effect, and have never painted my walls, so I don't know if I would like that.

If we're at rooms, my walls are white but I have a forest/park photo wallpaper on one, opposing the window. I like it like this. ;) Dark wood furniture warms it up a bit.

I like greys. My bedroom is a dark almost metallic grey and my office is a lighter shade of grey. All of the other rooms in my house are the same as when I bought it.

I used to live in an extraordinary amount of colour. I was able to bring it together very nicely and it was not at all garish. The key was to have a lot of black and white accents.

I agree with Gnarf. A bedroom should be dark, warm, and inviting.
