    [​IMG] i got a big fat raise! i was really pissed off at my boss cause he was really mean all the time, so i threatened to quit, and to stop me from quitting he gave me a raise of 8 dollars more an hour! HAH!

    Congrats Egg! Man, I wish I'd get an eight dollar raise. This summer I'm getting a measly buck twenty-five. But then again, I only work part-time. ;)

    [​IMG] ah, let me tell you a tale, of heroes of old...

    when i first worked there i was in customer service and Q&A for a while, i got a promotion, and became a computer programmer. My new boss was pissed off at me because instead of him getting a raise they promoted me, he had it in for me. He gave me loads of work, and to top it off some idiot always annoyed me and made passes at my girlfriend. One day I was really pissed and threatened to quit, i announced it on the speakers first and all my co-workers were behind me, i stormed in throwing around insults and thretaning to quit, turns out, i do more work than anyone else, and to stay in business they need me, and so that means that my boss's job depends on me, so he gave a huge amount of stock options and i stayed, and now I have a raise! HAH HAH HAH !!!!!!, that is my best one, so if you're not lazy, you'll get far in life, and now, I make more money than him too! he's still a jerk, but the only reason i stay is because other than two of my co-workers, i think i'm actually liking every day of my job!

    Not to burst any proverbial party balloons, but, watch out Egg. A friend of mine had relatively the same thing happen and the boss was just buying time to find a replacement. He said, "Here, have a HUGE raise, a little stock, and stay!" Within two weeks my friend was fired and replaced by someone else. And he thought he was irreplaceable. Just make sure they don't have you train anyone about how to do your job. Just in case my ass. Just in case we fire you tomorrow.

    Yeah, employers always always want you to do everything for the least amount of money possible. Glad I'm not like that :D Heh, I can't believe I'm finally an employer, a lawfull good employer, that is. Congrats Egg. Good job standing up to the man.
