    Basically, a 17 year old dug a large hole in a soft sand beach himself, and then ....

    surprise, surprise, it collapsed on top of him. The rest of the beachgoers managed to frantically dig him out in half an hour before he suffocated.

    Came up just fine for me. I find it a tad amusing that the reporters seem to almost paint the kid as some sort of hero. It's the he's been through a really horrible ordeal, but he's doing fine approach. Seems to whisper... "he's so brave." He just wants the world to learn from his mistake. Touching!

    More appropriate would be a report titled, one more stupid thing you should never do... just incase you didn't realize, then cut to the kid.

    Like the Fullerton beating, this one happened just a short drive from where I live.
