couple questions for the really smart ones out there

Question number one deals with haste in conjuction with dual wielding:

Does haste effect the off hand? For example my fighter has a main hand weapon that gets 2 attacks every round, his off hand attacks once, when hasted will this goto 3/1 and 2/1? How about with improved haste?

question two:

If I kick Nalia out of my group will I keep the fighters strong hold?

question three:

I will play the game all the way threw with no more then 3 NPC's playing on core rules, will the amount and type of monsters I face be based off of my average level or the total added levels of my group, meaning will there be less since I have a four man group as opposed to 6

 

As to question 2, yes you keep the stronghold even if you kick Nalia out. Believe me, I dont want that whiney mule in my party any longer than necessary.

 

I believe Haste effects every movment even spellcasting, I'm not sure of that though so don't quote me on it.

 

On Haste: it adds 1 attack with main hand per round (nothing extra with off hand). Imp Haste doubles the number of attacks... So for single weapon non-fighter classes haste is as good as imp haste... but get a dual weilding fighter and suddenly there is a world of difference.

On monster levels it is the average not the total... you get tougher monsters with fewer characters. This is extreme when you solo.

 

The later (haste only add 1 att/round), and improved haste will double your rate of attacks, but you will still get only 1 att/round with the offhand weapon (it's not doubled).

It depends on the level of your main character.

Yes you still get to keep the stonghold.I think everyone said that but what the hell I posted. Besides Nalia way to annoying.

 

From my experence, you don't even need to let her in to your party to: Get the quest to begin with, finish the quest, or to get the stronghold. For the first two, she just waits near the "fort" near the keep until you finish the quest...after that she justs waits inside the keep near Maj. Domo (sp).

As for the third question, if you want to get as many monsters as possible for your small party, there is a mod, I think it is the Tactics mod, that has an option that is called, "Always toughest spawns"...no matter what level party you have, you will always get the best of the best enimies to fight...suddenly liches become not uncommon at all!

 

Always toughest spawns is indeed part of Tactics. Better enjoy chipping away at Adamant Golems, though. And you'll learn how awful it is to face liches at level 9. Ugh.

 

Monsers spawn based on your PCs levels. IIRC average party levels have nothing to do with it.

 

Attack rating? Do you mean number of attacks? Attack rating is not a term in SoA or ToB. It sounds like you're saying you get an improved THAC0, which is definitely wrong.

 

You do not need Nalia in your party at all to gain lordship over the De´Arnise Keep or to "keep" it, that is correct.
