Crashing in Multiplayer?

I've tried to do it again and again, by reinstalling, getting the patch and the fixpack from Baldurdash, but nothing helps. It always crashes when I press 'connect'. If I'm lucky, then it just crashes to the desktop. If I'm unlucky, then I have to reset. If there are any protcools to install or anything in the control panel, please tell me. My computer's Specifications are AMD Athlon XP 1700+, 256MB of RAM, Seagate 40GB hard drive, Geforce 2 MX200, and Windows 98 SE. I've posted this topic multiple times, but nobody ever resonds on any forum, both here and other places. Please help!

Um, getting a patch from Baldurdash is your first course of action? :hmm:

Make a new install and get the official patch instead.

If the official patch doesn't help, contact Bioware directly through their support area. You can download a simple, free tool called Bioware Sys Info - it produces a text file of all the system and game information the tech support group needs to help you out. I've found them very helpful in the past, and they got back to me very quickly.

I installed the official patch first, and I have already mailed them several times, but none of their responses offered any help.
