    [IMG] Hello.
Ive got Neverwinter Nights without any of the other bits right, and its gone and been patched and everything [what is really annoying cause it changes portraits, but thats not for here really] but anyway, back to the main stream of everything.
When i go from one room to the next or outside or anywhere where it has to load it, it will occasionly [like 2 out of 3 times] crash the game making a horrid mess with all the windows trying to be helpfull pop up and such.
I have windows XP and that might be it as it were fine on my old computer what i had before this one.
I was wonderding if anyone else had found this same problem and if they had known a way to get around it, or fix it or something as it makes the game unplayable, [and if other have this problem paying a 100$s for something what doesnt work would be blightly annoying.
If anyone does know how to fix it and wishes to tell it i would most aprieciate it.
    Yours Sincerly
    -Andrew Robertson

[IMG] I had a similar problem having SoU and HoU installed, a fully patched game and a PC well over the specs required for the game. The problem disappeared when I updated my graphics card drivers.

I know of some people having the same issue because of using hardware acceleration for sound, and EAX effects.

Try upgrading the grafics card drivers. If that fails, upgrade the sound card's. If that still fails to correct it, disable EAX effects in the SOUND options of the game and see what happens.

Also try disabling DirectX's DirectDraw and Direct3D.

How much video RAM do you have?

For me, things like that happen with the Shiny Water enabled, under advanced video options, despite full patching and an uber graphics card. Not all the time, though.

AFAIK the Shiny Water is only for ATI users.

Shiny Water working with ATI cards was a bug, according to Bioware. :p

As in - the Shiny Water bug is only with ATI cards, and shiny water was meant for only nVidia users... shouldn't post when tired.

Hmm, that explains it. I do indeed have an ATI card.
