Creating Golems

    Can anyone tell me about how I would go about creating a golem or a shield guardian? My DM doesn't like us reading the monster manual :rolleyes: , so I don't have the foggiest idea about it.

    Nice Question, and personally I would beat DM till he told us what was required but here we go.
    Flesh Golem construction
    The pieces of a flesh golem must come from normal human corpses that have not decayed significantly. Asembly requires a minimum of six different bodies one for eac limb the torso (with head) and brain.
    The golem costs 50,000gp to create and assembling the body requires a succsesfull craft leatherworking or heal check (DC13).
    The Creator must be 14th level and able to cast arcane spells. Compleating the ritual drains 1,0000XP from the creator and requires bull's strength, geas/quest, limited wich, polymorph and object and protection from arrows.

    Ill put up others if you request them but I dont feel like tying any more at the moment. Maybe someone else will put some of the others up for you.

    IMHO, a Knowledge: Arcana check (DC 20-25) ought to make someone know the process for creating a golem (separate checks for each type).

    Perhaps the DM wants to make that a part of a quest? Could the golem become a vital part of a quest? Just trying to see the flip side...
