    @Icingdeath: Menzoberranzan is a very linear game. There are hardly any side quests; there's just dungeons and maps to explore. So follow the plot, get the quest items, complete the map to find extra goodies and move on. No need dawdle... in fact, there nothing else to do once you've finished an area. You can't go back usually, there are no shops, and the number of monsters are set.

    Some more details: You must create 2 characters, and up to 2 NPCs may join. It's played in first person, so the spell effects are quite spectacular (especially lightning bolt), but don't get dizzy! Anything else you like to know?

    I think they have Eye of the Beholder for GBA now, except it's not set in Faerun.

    I bought that Gold Box series for about 30$ (US) back in 1996 or so, just to give perspective. In my opinion, Menzo could easily be worth a third of that, because some of those games like Hillsfar or Pool of Radiance weren't too spectacular. But that was back then, and after 7 years today, it's value should have dropped somewhat.

    So I think it is worth getting for no more than $10
