Since I installed the darkest day I can make archers with 21 dex and the throws I make are much higher. Is it just me or does the darkest day mess up the scoring system?

I have also noticed that my stat rolls are better/higher with TDD installed. I thought that my luck was just improving with the character creation process.

I think installing tdd is just another form of cheating because it gives you a lot of extra power. When I went to hell my mage had memorized 4 time stops. That dragon wan't a challenge anymore.

there are a few bugs with TDD at the moment. There should be a patch soon to sort the problems out with Kits creation etc etc.

    cheating?

TDD was made out of a love for the IE games, and bg2 especially. It had nothing to do with wanting to cheat.

Nah, I guess it hadn't, but using the kit makes you stronger than not using it so it is actually cheating... right?

I guess you could call it cheating in the same way installing ToB would be.

Cheating usually involves making things easier. I have only started TDD but so far it's harder. So I don't see it as cheating. I see at as new game adding to SoA in the same way as ToB.

It's only cheating if you exploit the bugs. Other than that, I don't see how TDD could be considered a "cheat".

[IMG] Well, if you install the darkest day and play BGII then your characters will have more spells (the priests anyways) and higher stats, or at least the ones you create yourself.

On the other hand I have the x-cap remover installed, so I guess that's cheating too, and I have the thing installed which restores the AD&D rules for weapon proficiencies, which I can't call cheating because enemies will have this too right? and in my current party no-one has more than 2 proficiencies.
