    For those unfamiliar with the award, the winner is someone who advances human evolution (thus the Darwin reference) by removing his genes from the gene pool in an act of gross stupidity. This year's winner:

    As funny as an old one from the late 90s about 2 guys getting gas for their car.

    Guy 1: (lights up a cigarette)
    Guy 2: Hey, you shouldn't smoke those around here. It's dangerous!
    Guy 1: No it isn't. (lights lighter in front of pump spewing gasoline)

    For my insensitivity and love of black humor I've always liked the one having a gun on his bedside table and when the phone rings, he picks up his gun instead of the phone and shoots himself.

    It's tragic, but funny. I'm so sorry for being amused at this, but still...

    And I thought that thing with James Elliot could only happen in movies. Oh well.

    I don't want to sound cruel but such stupidity deserves self elimination

    @Undertaker:
    That's pretty much what the Darwin award is about. Culling stupidity from the gene pool. Alas, there are far too many stupid people still roaming the streets freely, not quite stupid enough to do something to end their lives. :shake:

    It's such a shame that the gene pool is only ankle deep in some areas.

    The one about the Sergeant in the New Zealand army and the rifle-grenade is good.
