I'm in Suldanesselar (that was meant to say the elven city, I butchered the spelling somewhat I'm afraid), so I fight a lot of various kinds of golems and rakshasa... the golems aren't really a problem, but the rakshasa can be a bit tough, especially the maharajah ones. Does anyone have any nice tactics?

I sent my fighters in to try to disrupt spells, while my weaker charecters chipped away at them with ranged weapons. Your charecters are going to get hurt, use your healing potions as well those are a life saver.

Just give the cloak of mirroring to your best tank a let him/her go in alone, because they do a lot of invocation spells.

Going only with a mage can work too, just use both fire shield, magic turning, magic deflection, protection from normal weapons and that kind of spells.

They seem to be immune to any spells excepted the brilliant necromancy spells like abi dalzim's horrid wilting.

One or two good positioned horrid wilting spell can kill those "things" for good.

By the way, rakshasas were demonic creatures in the indian mythology(Mahabharata; Ramayana).

They also don't detect hidden, so if you have patience and speed boots, you can have a thief zip in, backstab, run away and repeat. My solo thief took them all out this way (though it did take a little while). I don't think he ever got hit by them.

Q: who are the rakshasa anyway?

A: Rakshasas are a race of malevolent spirits encased in flesh that hunt and torment humanity. No one knows where these creatures originate; some say they are the embodiment of nightmares.

    Monster Manual, 2nd edition.

Weird, I always thought the golems were hard... The tiger-men went down easily when facing steel, unlike those darn adamantium golems.
