I played a demo for the game Space Colony and it seemed kind of interesting but hard. It hasn't gotten really good reviews but I wondering if anyone has played the game and liked it, or if it gets monotonous.

I haven't played it, but I have found with all similar type games that the fun part is in the begining. Sim City (any version), the fun part was placing the roads, building the city, etc. After that it got boring. The Sims, building your character and home was great. But same thing, got boring.

I guess i kind of liked the demo, but i felt like i never had enough people to do all the work that was needed...i was always struggling to get everything done.

I ended up buying the full version of Space Colony and I'm enjoying it. The game is about strategy, management, building and problem solving. I found myself hooked into it very quickly and I'm looking forward to downloading user made content when I'm finished with the current missions. There's also a lot of humor in the game which is also nice.

I enjoyed the demo as well. However, I rented the full version later on and liked it at first... after three days I got fed up.

Work, eat, sleep, chat, work, eat, sleep, make out... it gets pretty repetitive. I must admit I can't make sense out of the military missions though.

I couldn't find an active net community either.
