I got the game a few days an played a substantial part of it to give the first few thoughts.

    The box system req says:

min: 1.8 ghz dual core, 256mb GPU, 1 gb ram xp, 2 gb ram vista, dx9c shader model 3 nvidia 7600 or ATI 1600.

rec: 2.6 ghz dual, 512 mb GPU Nvidia 8800 or Ati 3800.

It is sequel to the diablo style game Divine Divinty but plays in 3d like Dark Messiah, Risen or Oblivion. No party, just your avatar. it does not have the complete freedom of Oblivion, but enough space to walk around in. It is not Oblivion.

It has character creation that is a bit more that the minimum. Not super like Oblivion, but enough and good enough. 3 basic classes to start but, the skill-tree lets you level the way you want. Most likely most characters made do just about the same.

The game-play is as you expect in this type of game. click the mouse and the sword moves, click it again..... Xp trough quests an killing. Done that and we will do it this way until the end of the world. Some get a t-shirt. One nice thing is that after a quest you get to choose an additional reward. Nice. Keep it in.

The loot is nice. A lot of empty things, but bash, hack Diablo style to get to the full ones hidden, or a surprise. the stores are their with trinkets and stuff slightly better. Not the over the top hoarding and looting of Sacred2, but a more realistic way. As far as realistic goes.

The combat can be hard sometimes. Enemies fight back. Ranged enemies are tricky since arrows can follow you in some cases resulting in half your hit-points gone before the first swing. You need to use the grey matter. game-play is good, not super. Quest are good but not super.

A second great thing is the mind-reading. For the exchange of XP you know a thought leading to nothing, loot, a quest or the latest gossip.

It has weapon-crafting with sockets, brewing potion after picking up plants and ore for weapons. Nice, again done that been there.....

The HUD is small but enough, the menu's good not super, the rag-doll nice but not super. The map good not perfect and so on. This however is the cause that many reviewers bleed points from the review total. The same with the bugs, nothing game-breaking for most, but if you have one it is big. The patch is due to be released in January and will be big.

Overall it is a solid game that is worth its money. The trusted PC only magazine of pcgameply give it a 85 after patching. Review differ at the sites, some burn it some play it first. That is an other story, 85 from pcgamplay is high, most player-reviews get to 80.

The game is released and tested on the Germans first. Nothing rash happened so it is save. Now the rest of Europe is beta testing it for the American release in the first week of the next year.

Demo's are present in German, English and French. Linky to forum of Larian for more info: http://www.larian.com/forums/
