[IMG] who thinks that black isle should port planescape torment, baldurs gate 1&2 and icewind dale over to the dreamcast? even if they are crappy ones they will still be worth £40 each me thinks...

  2. Actually, Baldur's Gate 1 is, or at least was, supposed to come out for the DC. I haven't heard anything in a while though, so I don't know if it is still due, or if it was cancelled.
A Playstation BG1 was also in the works, but was cancelled. I knew as soon as it was announced that it would be canned. The PS just doesn't have the power to run even a scaled down BG...

Planescape? Doubt it very much. Although it was a killer game, and a lot of people liked it, it did not sell very well. That tends to be the kiss of death when it comes to deciding whether to make sequels or ports... Besides Planescape has a lot of text for a console game. Actually, it had a lot of text for a PC game, but anyway...

I could definitely see Icewind coming to the consoles. The pacing and style of game are well suited to a console game, plus the PC version sold like crazy.

Don't know what (where the hell is that key ah the hell with it) #40 is in US bux, but why would you pay sny money for a sucky game...even if it was based on a good game?
A frosted turd is still a turd...
