If you dual class a thief at level 20, for example, to a mage. Will you get the high level skills in ToB, or would you just be wasting your time?

  2. Did you read the SoA manual? I didn't but even I know that dual-classing always means starting a new class at lvl 1.

Edit: Oh yes, in ToB, you get the same abilities.

[IMG] If you dual classed your thief at level 20 then you wouldnt get the high level thief abilities, ever. You would however gain the mage abilities as normal as soon as you reached level 18 and so on. As this limitation doesnt seem to apply to multiclassing (you start to gain the abilities at around 3million xp or so) unless you have a good reason to duel class, it is usually better to multi with a thief. The use anything ability is so powerful that in my opinion it is worth the lower levels you will get to.
