First of all, ease-of-use has been superseded (or is that succeeded) by the G3 Tweak pack. It does everything ease-of-use does and more. If you still want ease-of-use, continue on. Otherwise, go here:
    http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg1tweaks/

The instructions will differ slightly if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 than if you are using Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP.

For those systems, you need to be an administrator and you may want to disable UAC.
    Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off in Windows 7
    Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off in Vista
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975787

Basically, once you're an admin and turned off UAC (Vista and 7 only), put the archive in the Baldur's Gate folder, unpack it, and run the .exe file. I'm not sure if you have to be an admin in Windows XP or 2000 (you should use the admin account to be safe), but it doesn't matter in 95, 98, or ME.

The Baldur's Gate game directory is normally found in
    C:bad:Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate
In 64-bit Vista or 7 it is found in
    C:bad:Program files (x86)\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate

    to get there
open "my computer" (pre-Vista) or "computer" (Vista/7)
    find the C drive
goto "program files" (32-bit os) or "Program Files (x86)" (64-bit OS)
    goto "black isle"
    goto "Baldur's Gate"
    Put the ease-of-use archive there.
Extract the archive. Run the program "Setup-BG1-ease-v2.1.exe" (the .exe probably won't show up on your screen). Follow the prompts.
    That's it, you're done.

Once finished, sign off the admin account and sign on to your regular account. (you do use a regular account for day-to-day tasks, right?)
