I can see you found the "Create Topic" button...

Easiest class to beat the game with if you ask me, which you are, is a Fighter/Mage. Atleast that´s the class I had least trouble getting through with.

    I'd say a straight-up fighter.

I'd go with a fighter who specializes in ranged weaponry. The problem with this game is the very low HP you tend to have at the beginning, and so a fighter tends to have the best Hp count, so it improves his survivability. However, even with the best possible HP to start with (14, IIRC) one tends to lose those points quickly, so I recommend staying back and letting other idiots suck up the damage!

Fighter-thief, I'd say. You can wear the really heavy armour if you need to and the backstab is very useful.

I'd say play a straight fighter, and go with a dwarf, for the improved constitution and better saving throws.

Are we talking a party situation or solo?
If with a party I´d also go with a singleclass fighter. But if I were soloing I´d stay with my F/M.

Paladin if you want to heal yourself for free every now and again. Helps with party leadership having such high charisma.

Thief skills are essential in BG1, and Imoen hasn't 100% everything in the beginning.
So the easy way would be a dwarf F/T.
But try not to be cheesy and change your armor every 20 seconds.
