Elves with facial hair?

    I was thinking the other day, can elves have beards and moustaches?

    I never seen an elf with facial hair before and that is why I am not really sure if they can have any.

    No they cant, they dont have any body-hair at all. At least not in any of the official worlds, but you dont need to agree, if you want elves to have mustches or beards, make it so! I once had a DM, who played with the fact that "elf" was a state of mind, a sort of "Buddha". Of perfectionism in the mind, you had to be high-level to achieve it and it gave some nice bonuses. It was a little weird but very interesting and funny.

    Since they decided to make dwarven women beardless in third edition, they might aswell have made the elven women bearded.

    On a sligtly related note, a relative of mine knew this girl who thought she was an elf (seriously) :p
    He didn't mention anything about body hair though...

    I indeed don't think Elves have body hair (except for one place maybe :rolleyes:)

    This does remind me of a funny part in a D&D-adventure of a collaegue. They had an elven woman in the party, and as we all know, appearance is very important for almost girls and even more for Elven girls. In a fight against Vampires, the girl was also turned to undead. There was a ring that could turn her back to the old situation again, wich indeed happend after she put the ring on. Unfortunatly, the ring had also a negative effect. She had hair-grow on her face, about 6 cm per day. She had to wear the ring for 10 days. After that it oculd be removed with a Remove Curse. Unfortunatly they didn't had enough money, and they also needed to go to the city for that. It was a huge problem to get her in the city and the laughs of the citizens almost made her desperate. They fighted for the army, against a mad druid with a lot of monsters and gained money with that, and with that money they could remove the curse by an alchemist :)
