    Since Serbia is hosting it this year, I thought I might as well start a thread on it.

    I don't know if you guys watch it or not, do you like it, hate it or simply don't care. But here's a place to comment.

    The first semifinal was yesterday.
    Some songs were nice, some made me blink in disbelief, and some... :lol:

    Russians needed a bigger patch of ice. (I like figure skating, what can I say)
    Finland - I didn't understand a word, but not bad sound.

    Holland, San Marino songs were ok, I guess.

    Some of the visual presentations were bizarre, to say the least. Bosnia and Herzegovina had an ok song, but horrible stage performance, imo.

    And the TV commentator for our television was a disaster. (which the rest of the world thankfully couldn't hear)

    The only song contest I know of where the voting is completely unrelated to the quality of the songs.

    The only reason we get into the Final most years is because of the amount of money we waste on the thing.

    All I know is that here in Spain that horrible "El Chiki Chiki" song is extremely popular. I would say I'm surprised at the idiocy and even more at its popularity but then again, they do love the mullet here.

    So, no, I'm not really surprised I guess. THAT is sad.
