I just love the banter packs, there's some great conversations between all the characters, but this one really struck me funny...

Edwin: The price of flesh is obsession, Minsc. I've been obsessed, smitten, bewitched and taken by many things, but the only rodent in my pants doesn't squeak when I touch it.

Minsc: Your words are strange, wizard. Stranger still are the thoughts behind them. Er... stand back a step if you don't mind. Boo has expressed a dislike for your company, and I cannot say I am surprised...

Edwin: The rodent speaks to you? Verily, I've a rat in my trousers that speaks a peculiar dialect as well, usually involving transactions of coin and copious volumes of wine. You are truly a gift of the ages, Minsc.

Minsc: Your words baffle, though I am certain some insult has taken place. Keep your distance from this one, Boo, he is definately unstable.

I think some of the ones in the original game are hilarious, too. Haer'Dalis cracks me up consistently - I can't remember the exact words, but he and Viconia are having a chat about his talent with words and bawdy songs, and how gorgeous she is, which ends with him telling her that despite the fact that she has a body built "for untold pleasures" and the face of the most expensive courtesan in the Planes, he won't melt over her. She tells him matter-of-factly that whatever his fantasies, they would not "exceed the truth in duration, intensity or depravity."

Haer'Dalis's response: "Oh... ah... pardon me for a moment while my head implodes."

    EDIT: Woo, new gem!

I like the one that I think goes something like:

JAN: Well Binky, I have to say that your plan to conquer the Sword Coast was fatally flawed on several levels.

SAREVOK: Whaaaat? Binky!? You had best not be referring to me, gnome.

Again, not the exact words, but I remember it being priceless.

I loved Jan and Keldorn's banter about the 'Sins of the Flesh Golem'. I cannot remember how it goes exactly but it had me laughing out loud.

Jan's Ano story to Anomen was hilarious.

Minsc being confused about Edwina's remarkable resemblance to Edwin was great.

Saverok telling Viconia "You scare me"

Yeah, those are all original banters, not part of the Banter Pack mod.

But while we're on the subject of the mod, I have a soft spot for the Lilarcor banters, although the Imoen/romance NPC talks are also among my faves.

I like when Minsc is pointing Boo towards Sarevok. Any of the ones with Sarevok are cool.

http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_tips.php and the 4th file from the top contains all standard NPC interactions.

Hah! That's quality. I havent seen that one before, most likely due to the fact that I hardly ever take Cernd.

Yoshimo has some pretty good lines too. I won't spoil it if some people havent taken Edwin in the long term before, but theres a dialogue they have about Yoshimo's embroidery skills which is funny. Also, its not a banter as such, but I love the conversation Yoshimo has with Renal Bloodscalp when he asks not to be called "Yoshi" because such pet names have a very particular significance in Kara-Tur. I don't know if it's part of the Banter Pack or not, but I had Imoen talk about a slumber party with Edwina. Very good stuff!

I also enjoy Jan trying to steal Boo, Jaheira lecturing Minsc on being a Ranger, and Yoshimo talking to Keldorn about poetry.

    My personal favorite:

Jaheira: There is harmony in nature, and all things are balanced in the end. Perhaps, Edwin, you are now as you should be.
Edwin: And you would suggest this based upon what?! As a CONSTANTLY pontificating servant of nature you must know my transformation was unnatural!
Jaheira: Perhaps, though you never did strike me as particularly manly. Perhaps nature has just been slow in this regard.
    (OUCH!!! :shake: )
Edwin: I see. So, by your logic you shall be changing into a large male wildebeast any day now? Or have I misunderstood?
Jaheira: Save your amateurish insults for one who will be offended. Your opinions mean nothing to me.
