[IMG] When fighting different opponent what tactics do you find most succesful?

    My contribution:
Many creatures + narrow space = fireball
Many creatures + open space = web, fighter gets Spider's Bane, other ranged
Fighting mages = ranged to disturb spellcasting, backstab if possible
Mage that succeded mirror image = magic missile

    Davaeorn
    1) way of magic (2 spellcasters & thief), thief hides in shadows when target teleports
    2) way of sword (fighter), step aside when targer casts ligtning bolt

Hmm, Ive only got a few battle tactics that seem to work in most situations. Beyond that, it's pure improv. Theres web/entangle and carpet bombing followed by missile/spider's bane mop up, and theres bottlenecking with melee fighters/summons supported by concentrated spellcasting and missile fire. Other tactics extend only to selective debilitation with hold person/command, getting rid of mirror image with magic missile or dispel magic and simple, pitched battle with buffs if necessary. Pretty simple, but ive found it does the trick.
