Fix for Missing Textures in HotU found!

    [​IMG] Searching for a solution to the elusive problem I encountered installing my HotU expansion and updating it (as described in this thread), I found this innocuous bit on Bioware's download pages:
    I haven't tried it out yet, but the problem it's supposed to fix matches my problem.

    Silly enough, in the meanwhile I went for a new German expansion set for a bargain price of 10 € for both SoA & HotU (it works now). I guess I was frustrated from 7 re-installs :mad: :flaming: :bang: (first time I use this particular smiley), sans the tweaking. Point is, even though it would then be the 9th re-install, the German translation is *so* bad, I seriously consider another attempt ...

    PS: I succumbed to the temptation to fix the problem and re-installed a 9th time, again in english, and tried the abovementioned fixes. The exe file stopped working after reporting the xp2_textures.bif existed. It didn't dawn on me I could have also deleted the file to execute the .exe again. Nevermind :)

    I downloaded the .zip file and overwrote the existing file. Size of the installed file was 66 MB, be replaced by 220 MB from the .zip archive. Small wonder textures were missing.
