    He has a point there. Things like that create divisions and reinforce minorities in their sticking out and feeling different from the majority and other minorities more than it's really needed.

    Agreed.

    Right. Who cares, anyway. Just don't scratch race out of police forms etc, even if you don't need it in a library card.

    Which just goes to show that those who speak out against particular "sacred cows" are not necessarily racist, even though the supporters of such "sacred cows" try to paint that label on the speaker to shut down reasoned debate.
