Ive beaten the game several times already, both with full party and a solo char, the IMHO most powerfull solo class: The assassin/mage. Also tried a Kensai/mage but found that it was about the same as the thief one so i got bored. Any other ideas on fun chars/party? Either solo or 2/3/4/5/6 char partys, doesnt have to be very powerfull but should at least be decent.

[IMG] Try playing with a Barbarian/Sorcerer Duo, its a right laugh. They should both be Chaotic Neutral/Good. Half-Orc Barbarian, and maybe use SK to make the Sorcerer a Half-Orc too, as they are'nt dependent on INT for their spells.

Another good go are a Ranger/Cleric and Mage/Cleric and Thief/Cleric. That's a very good party and got me far, but i eventually got boored.

Try changing Race/Class differences. A Dwarven ranger etc. is a good way to spice things up. How about creating your own items and stuff as well?

Give it a go...see what you think...

[IMG] If your playing just from the begginning of ToB (not through SoA) then try this. As the protagonist play a Sorcerer. Then you take Sarverok as your fighter. Finally take Imoen and using SK change her back to a thief and give her appropiate skills for the experience she has. The you can go forth as The Children of Bhaal United and "kick ass and chew bubblegum, and your all out of gum!".

This team works well because of the pocket plane, almost eliminatinig the need for a cleric for the purposes of travelling. Survive till the end of battle then return and get one of many clerics (jaheria, viconia, anomen, aerie, cernd) to 'fix you up'.

It's also fun just you and Sarverok, only taking a thief when you need one. That's why i like the pocket plane, it's like a sort of holding bay for the rest of your party who are 'resting' at the moment

    Just my thoughts.

  4. Try a mage/thief.Quite powerful and interesting advantages.Take minsc if you want funny conversations.

    Heh, I don't think he wants a mage/thief he already did assassin/mage.

Have you played with all the npc's already?
Have you played with all the kits?
If so you could always try a sorcerer and pick the spells you never used.
Or mainly ranged attackers and wizards with spells like grease web and stinking cloud.
Try downloading the extra npcs from sp.
    Try a wizardslayer thief.

    See anything you like?
