There will always be challenges in this game for players who do not cheat. Cheating includes using character editors, preparing the team or character based on information the player knows but the character could not, using the debug mode of the game to change normal play, taking advantage of known bugs in the game, taking advantage of cheesy spell combinations allowed in second edition AD&D and revoked in third edition, and any other method of increasing the power of the team or character outside of normal role-play. Other ways to increase the challenge includes increasing the difficulty to insane, using less characters in the team and/or less powerful characters, and not using the best equipment, spells, and high level abilities. People have also supplied mods that make the monsters tougher.

I am not saying that you should not cheat. By all means do so, if you find that makes the game more enjoyable to you. Have two or more rings of Gaxx if you want. But if you cheat to make the game less challenging, how can you complain?

In several boards on several topics, I have noticed people responding to a question with "that's too easy, no challenge." At best you are being discourteous. At worse, you may discourage someone new to the delights of this great game. And somewhere in between, you may be belittling a player who actually knows more about the game than yourself! (Some questions are asked simply for topics of debate.) So, I would like to encourage my fellow forum members to be nice!

 

Oke! Let me encourage my fellow forum-members by saying that SoA and ToB are the best games I ever played. And I'm not trying to be funny this time.

2nd: If I want to tell my opinion on a certain act/quest/cheat or whatever, then I will do that, whether I'm negative or (preferably) when I'm positive.

IMO, this counts for all games and not only for SOA and TOB.

Sometimes cheats turn round and attack you(literally)

I know someone accidently summoned five Bhodis and two dragons when they were fighting irenicus, unfortunatly they were hostile.

The only reason for cheats is to debug or test your custom made mods

That would be a nice challenge though, 5 bodhi's, 2 dragons and Irenicus at the same time...
