Global variables and exporting/importing main character?

    Remove all ads!
    If you switch out the main character with a dif one will it be OK with the game to finish? (s)he will be missing some of the global variables is why I ask?
    Especially the romances?

    How would you go about switching the main char?

    Also, globals are tied to the savegame, locals are tied to the death variables of NPCs inside the savegame. Either way, switching the CRE or CHR files shouldn't have any effect on what variables are set inside the GAM file.

    Not that I'm the most reliable source on IE these days.

    You can do it if you play a multi-player game. If you play it just on your own computer anyway. Don't know about if you play with others. I'd assume you could then as well.

    Not with a multi-player game. If you make a multi-player game you can make up as many characters in your party as you want. Up to 6 of course :)

    I know that, but it would stand to that the protagonist couldn't be changed since a lot of the game components are inherently dependent on their race, class, gender, etc.

    Like I said, it shouldn't matter, but I have no idea how these things are handled internally through multiplayer mode.
