Well, i dont have stats for a god but i have stats for Klauth the oldest living dragon in faerun. He lives somehere in the north, here goes. His stats are phenomena! its 3e though.

Klauth, Male red great wyrm dragon. Cr 25, Colossal dragon fire; HD 40D12+400, hp: 722,
initiative +4, speed 40, fly 200ft.... i'll skip some and give you his main stats.

    Strength: 45, Dex 10, con 31, Int 26, Wis 27, Charisma 26, length 80 ft. Spells known, 6/8/18/8/7/7/7/7/4/, ...

He kills other dragons for funs, and eat other dragon eggs except for red dragon eggs. Eat your heart out Firkraaag... we are so lucky that we only have to fight measly dragons compared to klauth in bg2.

OT: Why are 3E stats so utterly beefed compared to 2E stats?

I miss my nice, simple 1-25s.

That was just an example of Klauth (he is like a kabillion years old), and 3e is not beef up. The rules are different, but way better than 2e, trust me!...

What about say... Bahamut the platinum dragon (read manual of the planes) I'd like to see Klauth eat him. You can get the stats for some demi-godess of shadow in the swords and sorcery monster thingy but she's only friggin' CR16 (she should be WAY higher though it does say she'd be stronger on her own plane :( ).

    Black Rose,

In 2E, the difference between two high level stats was almost exponential. in 3E, it's linear. In 2E there was a huge difference between 19 and 21, and no difference between 10 and 12. In 3E, the difference between 19 and 21 is exactly the same as between 10 and 12.

It's not that the creatures are stronger, it's that what the numbers mean are different.

I think it's to the point of ridiculous for the Gods to have stats. Because that means, that technically, with a powerful enough weapon, you could hit them day after day, year after year, millennium after millennium, one could kill the Gods, and just with a piece of magic wood.

Two books of interest will be out in April this year...

Deities and Demigods with stats and stuff for many of the Greyhawk gods.

Faiths and Pantheons, with in-depth info on Forgotten Realms pantheons, including stats for some of the gods there.

[IMG] I've never seen stats for Gods. By their very nature they are right off the scale. Legends and Lore has stats for God's avators and they were rather all mighty themselves. Of course that was in 1st and 2nd edition. Things may be different in 3E with the Deities and Demigods book coming out.

  11. Gods for the dragons are Bahamut and Tiamat. The former is good, the latter is evil.

Appropriate question for your name. ;)

Deities&Demigods came out in 1980 and I still have my copy. If any one needs stats on a certain god email me:)

My first DM had a 2nd edition manual of a lot of the gods here on earth. (like Odin And Zeus). I can't remember the name though.

The old 'three booklet' version of D&D had a book called "Gods, Demigods, and Heroes" IIRC. It basically had just stats for gods and fictional heroes.

First Edition had a book called Dieties and Demigods (two different editions, the second removing some copyright infringement issues). It basically had a bunch of stats for the gods and a bit of detail on clerical matters.

Second edition had Legends and Lore. It had more on priestly stuff and avatars, rather than the gods themselves.

Third Edition will have Dieties and Demigods again. I don't know what it will be like.

Creudzfeldt-jakob, your logic is flawed, by no meens could you just beat on a god till it dies. By natural law, if something can be hurt it must be able to heal.
