Aside from the forced and that mandatory betrayal, it's very good. There could had been more different enemies, especially that tank from HL1, and they could had ended the story properly. The smooth mechanics were the best side of the game, IMO.

The graphics are great. The spacing is great. It's all great. The ending couldn't have been anything else; there's no way that game could have avoided being anticlimactic unless it had no climax at all. There's an expansion due soon, too. The graphics were the best yet seen, the gameplay perfectly balanced, and the physics and facial animations were groundbreaking. Yup, it's great.

The game was awesome. I just wish we could have had a real ending to a Half-Life game for once...

Wasn't the ending in Half-life Blue Shift real enough?

Anyway, great game with great music.

It was an okay game, slightly better than the likes of doom3 etc, but it wasn't anywhere near as good as Half Life. One of the big let downs for me, was the lack of gore. Where was all the gore ffs? :toofar:

I missed that too, a bit, although it wasn't that necessary. I would had just loved to put a bloody bullet into the heads of those annoying snipers, but no gore = no good... HL1 wasn't that bloody either, but at least it had that intereting gibbing. :shake:

While they wanted it to be realistic, how come you could place a grenade beside a dead body (or on top) and it would just fly into the air? But, I liked that you could *crowbar* the bodies into strange positons. Hehe. I had fun with that.

The final Gravity Gun was fun to use. Myself and my brother were wondering if somewhere there was a cheat to let you have that from the very start.. :D

I thought it was a really enjoyable game that ended too soon.

I would have liked a better plot and better weapons (although some of them were pretty great).

Most of the levels were really enjoyable (Ravenholm and Nova Prospect were the two best, imho), but some were too similar or boring.

The graphics and facial animations were very impressive, but I agree the lack of gore kind of made the game a bit less fun.

Great game, but not a touch on the original. The physics are incredible on it.
