    From YouTube

Hamas may think they can get away with killing Israelis, bad mouthing the U.S., etc., but now they are going up against the most destructive and powerful force in the universe; The Walt Disney Corporation.

My God have mercy on their souls.

That's a pretty sorry impersonation of Mickey Mouse, if that's indeed who it is supposed to be. It's a guy in a mouse costume.

That having been said, using a children's show to preach hatred and tell kids it's OK to fight a war (terms like death, kill, and AK-47 appear in the piece) is not good. No wonder we aren't popular over there - it's ingrained in their heads since they were children...

That truly is scary, but the comments underneath are just as scary. There are moderate muslims, despite what some think. Just look at Turkey, a presidential candidate just withdrew because he was too religious and the people protested against him. They are staunchly against religion in their government. The military has deposed 4 governments to make sure it stays that way, yet they are almost all muslim there. Not all muslims are so radical(yemen, kuwait, pre-soviet afghanistan, etc). Seems to me it's these countries with influential muslim clerics and theocracies that are the problem.

In the minds of the majority of Palestinians, its their land and its being occupied by Jews unlawfully, so you can sort of see where theyre coming from. Im not justifying the show, but I can understand why they would do something like this.

This is going a bit far for just resistance to an occupying force, Nataraja. I could understand them preaching against the Jews in that case, but they seem to be preaching against all the same standard targets of extremist Islam.

Of course that's the origin of their hate against the west. Don't forget that Israel did not exist as a country until about 60 years ago. That means that there are people alive today that can remember a time when Israel didn't exist. While I do not know exactly what country Israel was cut out of (although, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, or Egypt are the most logical possibilities as they all border Israel - perhaps even some was taken from each of these countries), you can only imagine that whoever was formally in control of the land was pretty POed.

But it is here where I feel the Palestinian anger is misplaced. The only real difference in the histories of the Jews as opposed to the Palestinians is really what religion they chose to follow. The racial and historical backgrounds of the people are nearly identical. It just so happened that the Jews were in tight with the winners of WWII.

Really, when you think about it, the entire history of that region is dominated by Palestine being one small part of one conquering empire after another. To wit, they were at some point controlled by the Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires over a period spanning about 5000 years at this point. So the concept of a soverign nation of either Palestine or Israel in a historical sense doesn't really exist. If the Holocost was targeted against Palestinians instead of Jews, there may well be a nation of Palestine today with the Jews complaining that the Palestinians took THEIR land.

I'm not saying any of this to try and prove the Palestinians right - I'm just saying that the Palestinians are doing what they have always done - try and get by as a people belonging to a foreign state - which pretty much sums up what they've always had to do.

Apparently, the program has been taken off the airwaves after being exposed.

Not a moment too soon. Teaching hate and intolerance to children is, IMO, disgusting.

Yeah I agree that their anger is misplaced. Its the same misplaced anger that Germany had after they lost WW1 that lead to the rise of the Nazi party etc. Misplaced anger always allows extremists to flourish, and its sad really...its always those who dont know any better who suffer the most...the children who dont have the rationality to know any better because they havent the oppurtunity to know any better.

Richard Dawkins sums it up nicely here...
