    [​IMG] So I've got this old 250GB drive that I wanted to replace but guess what... the 1TB WD external drive that I paid €61 6 months ago is now €129! Gah... obviously the Thailand floods have enabled the manufacturers to inflate the prices beyond reason. Now that they're this high it's anybody's guess if they're ever going to go down to the pre-flooding levels again. I need the drive and can't wait forever but every fiber of my being is screaming against paying more than 100% more 6 months later for the same piece of computer hardware. Sacrilege! :shake:

    Yes, I know. The main problem is that all the OEM manufactures come first. what is left over in sold to stores. That is why the prices of of the shelves PC have not risen in price much. Production is underway, and they realize not to concentrate the plants at one location.

    Meanwhile, consumers have a problem.

    But look at it this way: it pushes the developement of ssd forward.
