Hard to find Spells

Ok I'm about to leave Sahuagin City and head to the Underdark.

There are a few Level 5 and below spells that seem to be eluding me.

Level 1 Spook
Level 2 -got them all
Level 3 Remove Magic (Imoen had it prelearned in her book when I picked her up though.)
Level 4 Contagion
Level 5 -got them all

I was able to find multiples of all the others in random places or shops. These are in the game somewhere correct?

Also a funny note.
After you kill Desharik the Pirate Lord to get his ship you can go back to his home and he's still there. You can fight his clone and get a extra pair of +1 scimitars and +1 leather to sell.

 

All three of those spells can be found in Deirex's Tower, in Ust Natha.

Are you going to underdark in lvl 10?
I only left Kangaxx in Athkatla
And i really agree that spook(my lvl 1 3rd favorite) is VERY hard to find.

 

Yeah i noticed too. To bad they're very good spells. Especialy remove magic as it doesnt dispel buffs on your chars.
Best way is to get a sorcerer and just choose it.

 

Hmm, that sucks, but I got Spook and Remove Magic as random drops, but Contagion, I didn't even know that was in BG2.

These Drow drop great level 6 and 7 spells like no tomorrow.

 

Random drops are sometimes quite interesting: I got once Spell Trap scroll (level 9) in Irenicus' Dungeon!

One way to get those hard-to-find spells is to take a mage and choose rarest spells for him at the start.

 

There's a spell guide on this site made by Extremist and myself that details where you can find every scroll in the game. (Remove magic is found in a container in AR2207, btw).

 

True, and in the same area there are scrolls of Contagion and Spook.

I mean normaly people dont check their area code when they come to new area.

It's really Deirex's tower (that's some lich) in Ust Natha. That the tower is just below Temple of Lolth and to enter there you need the Gilded rope.
If you walk around Ust Natha, a certain person will appear and give that rope to you.

 

I found a couple of rare scrolls in the Underdark, the Drow city. There are several spellstores scattered throughout the game, some 'hidden' by anonimous merchants, so talk to all of them!

An other question, are the random scrolls found on bodies influenced by levels? I returned to the sewers under the temple district, with my level 30+ party and some of the goblins their dropped spells like pierce magic and death spells!
