Haste?

    Why does it effect only me? I cast it, and I don't even have a chance to designate the point.. It just casts ifself on me only. Why?

    Are you using haste or improved haste and/or from a scroll or wand?

    If it is the spell, you can group your party/summoned monsters and select a middle target guy for the spell and it affects all within a radius. If it is an item (like Arbane's Sword - early in the game this is a very useful sword - also gives immunity to Hold effects - good against Umber Hulks, etc!) it only affects the item's user usually.

    'Improved Haste' may only affect the caster (therefore no target to select) - however I don't use this spell myself (unless it is an item skill) as it wears off far quicker than the normal Haste!

    Yeah it wears off quicker but it DOUBLES your attacks. Enemy mages with breach cant resist that, and if you cant or wont cast breach it brrings down stoneskin very fast (just hope they dont have Prot.from magical weapons ;) :) )

    It's the normal haste. I'm using it for my solo sorcerer, and I imported it through SK. But when I cast it, it just hastes ME. I don't geta chance to pick the site wherer it effects everyone. It's maddening, when I can't cast it on groups and can't haste my instant army(tdd)...

    Improved Haste can be cast on other people as well, IIRC.

    Hmmm seems odd. Normally with the normal haste spell you can haste all your summoned creatures.

    Go to the Character Record (stats screen), click 'Custom' and 'Scripts' and try altering that to 'default' or 'none' for a short time then go back and change it to what you had before - this may or may not help.
