Ok, today I started up MS Word 2002, and for some reason there are little gray, 1/2-squares in all 4 corners in all pages of any document I open. They aren't in the actual typing space so I can't select them. This is the first time these little annoying b@$tards have been there and I want them gone! The only thing I can think of doing to my computer, was installing the Korean fonts to view a website correctly. Can someone tell me how to get rid of them? If it is the fonts that are causing the problems, how do I uninstall them?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's a picture of them: Evil squares :rolling:

Kitrax, I can't access the picture that shows the problem (damn company firewalls) but the description of the half squares sounds like what you see when "Text boundaries" is selected in the "Tools - Options - View" menu. Try checking whether it's ticked and if so, get rid of it.

Whoa...checking that box made a complete box around the entire document...unfortunately the little punks are still there. Anyone else know what's going on? :rolling:

If I remember correctly, I think they are just to mark the size and locatoin of your margins. Try changing the size of the margins. If they change in size, then that's what its for. Try printing off a test page, it shouldn't affect it at all.

Did you dl the Korean fonts from the Microsoft website? If not, delete them and go back to your previous config and get the fonts from MS...they are available there. As far as un-installing the fonts, that may be another issue, and may take more details than can be given here...(in other words, I don't know for sure ;) )

Sounds like you have what is known as a "misapplied package", but don't worry...you can fix it with the proper restore and font pack and still make it to the big dance at 10. ;)
