[IMG] 3E Races of Faerûn, pg. 78:

    --Lightfoot Halfling Magic Items--
    [TEXT]
Common Items: Bags of Holding, Howard's Handy Haversack, Carpets of Flying, ...

Anyone have some info on what a Howard's Handy Haversack is? I've check several D&D books (plus Google), but I haven't been able to come up with anything - possibly a 2E D&D item? Thanks in advance for any info. :)

It's Heward's Handy Haversack actually, found right in the 3E DM's Guide. Page 219.

It's like a bag of holding, except that whatever item you are looking for will always be on top.

If you ever read the War of the Spider Queen series, one of the characters makes frequent use of such a bag.

Thanks, Chev. I'm reading WotSQ right now - it's Phareun (sp?) who uses the sack. I'll look for it in the book - as soon as I can find it. :)

    EDIT
<smacks head> I completely missed the fact that it's in the 3.5E DM's Guide as well - hiding in plain sight, I guess. :)
